I have not seen any fleas or ticks since April. There are a lot of mosquitoes, but I am waging war on them. They discovered West Nile Virus just a few miles away. So I’ve checked the yard and dumped out every bit of standing water that I could find.

It was hard to get an appointment – they have “summer hours” which means closed early every day and also closed on Fridays. So I called ahead and got the appointments scheduled. Now they just have to start brushing a little better to get ready for the visit.

He is a really good guy. I know a lot of girls don’t really like the men that their girlfriends choose to date or marry. But I think she got lucky and found one of the few good men out there. She’s not only lucky, but smart enough to know it – that’s why she married him!

It was under $30 and I figure we will get a lot of use out of it, so it will be worth every penny. In fact, we have already filled it with water and splashed around in it today!

I decided to set it in the back yard and put it far enough from the house so that I can look out the windows in the back and see if anyone is in it. Of course, the kids are not allowed in it unless I am out there with them. But I feel better being able to see it from a window, just in case.
