I hope to find some good things for the baby and the nursery at yard sales over the summer. In fact, going to yard sales might become my occupation for a couple of months.
I found a couple of nice things at a yard sale that was advertised with poster board nailed to a telephone pole. I was driving home from the grocery and noticed the sign, so I stopped to take a look and I found some bargains.

We’ve been looking at baby gear this week, with thoughts of signing up for a baby registry. My mom wants to buy the crib and baby dresser for us, which is very generous and I so appreciate the help with the mainstay of the nursery.
We went to a couple of places around town just looking at the different things. My goodness – everything is so expensive! It all adds up pretty quick, too.

Ignore the date in this photo – I don’t know how to crop it out. That was a few years ago. But I love the photo and it illustrates Father’s Day to me, so I wanted to share it here. Happy Fathers Day!

There is something so classic and so timeless about Pooh. I love his innocence and little group of friends. I hope my baby loves Pooh.

I bought a watermelon at the grocery store today. I could just tell that the smart aleck bagger was thinking that my big belly and a watermelon made the old joke about swallowing a watermelon seed . . . but he was smart enough to no mouth off about it. I am not in a good mood today and have little patience for smart alecks.
